[soc.culture.esperanto] Can an Amiga 500 work in Yugoslavia?

neal@druhi.ATT.COM (Neal D. McBurnett) (07/05/90)

One of the professors of Esperanto this summer at San Francisco State
University will be going home to Yugoslavia in another week and wants
to buy an Amiga 500 here, since it is about 1/3 the cost. He wants to
know if it will work on the 220 volt, 50 hz power in Yugoslavia. We
assume it will be easy to transform the voltage, but wonder whether the
machine is sensitive to the frequency. If so, is there a 50 Hz version
available for purchase in the US?

Please respond by mail, since I don't usually read comp.sys.amiga.hardware.
Thanks!

Unu el la profesoroj de Esperanto cxi-somere cxe la Sxtata Universitato
de San Francisco reiros hejmen post semajno kaj deziras acxeti Amiga 500
cxi tie, cxar kostas trione. Li deziras scii cxu gxi funcios je 220 volta,
55 herca povo en Jugoslavio. Ni supozas ke estos facile
transformi la tension, sed scivolas cxu la komputilo bezonas specifan
frekvencon. Se jes, cxu estas 50 hc. versio acxetebla en Usono?

Dankon!
