There will be more sports car racing at Summit Point, W.Va. over the Aug. 12, 13, 14 weekend. Summit Point is located near Charlestown, W.Va., which is in the northwest corner of the state 30 odd miles from Frederick, Md. This is an SCCA Summer National event with the following groups represented: Group 1: FP, GP, HP, GT5 Group 2: FA, FC, S2000, DSR, CSR Group 3: DP, EP, GT4 Group 4: FV Group 5: GT1, GT2, GT3, ASR Group 6: FF Group 7: SSA, SSB, SSC, SSGT Pro Group: Bilstein Rabbits There are campgrounds at the track included in the price of admission which I unfortunately don't know since I have the best racket in the world for this. I work the races in the Timing and Scoring Shed. Practice Friday through Saturday midday. 23 lap National Champ- ionship races all Saturday Afternoon and Sunday. Also there is a race date at Summit over the Labor day Saturday and Sunday but not Monday. For those of you who have been out to Pocono, the campgrounds at Summit are not quite as nice.
