[comp.ai.shells] no more PC Easy and PC

jcl@bdrc.uucp (John C. Lusth) (09/14/90)

I've heard a rumor that Texas Instruments is going to get out of the
shell game, that is, discontinue supporting PC Easy and PC Plus. Can
this be true? Can the AI behemoth be backing out of the AI biz? What
would Harry Tennant say? Come to think of it, I haven't seen his
smiling face at a world-wide televised TI AI Symposium lately. Come to
think of it, I haven't seen a world-wide televised TI AI Symposium
lately either.

I have an inquiring mind and I simply *must* know!

I have it from inside sources that TI has had another major "LISP is dead"
pogram and I wouldn't be surprised to see them shedding all kinds of things,
particularly low-margin items.
