I am interested in learning the names of any production rule systems which meet the following criteria: - Runs on a 386 platform, Unix operating system; - Forward-chaining; - Allows calls to C routines in the action section of rule; - Action section possibly allows multiple actions (not critical); - Programmer can specify different strategies for solving rule contention (e.g., select most specific rule); - System speed must be fast - I plan on using rule-based programming to select response to human input so the system must be fast enough to satisfy impatient customers. Perhaps some sort of rule compiler; - System must be supported - somebody to answer questions or fix bugs in timely fashion. - Some control over working memory; when customer quits session, WM should be cleaned out and wait for next customer to come along. Please send all responses to me directly. I will mail summaries to directly interested parties or post if there is greater interest. -- | Chuck Rapp BALR Corporation rapp@balr.com | | Oakbrook, IL also: rapp@tellab5.tellabs.com |
