[comp.ai.shells] Shells for Mac and PC

podonnel@monash.edu.au (03/28/91)

I am developing a system for distribution on PC's and Mac II's. Has anyone used
a shell that runs on both Pc's and Mac's. I have a short time frame within
which the project has to be fairly well underway. I would like to make the
transfer of the system from one system to another as painless as possible.

I have used Nexpert Object quite a bit and know well that Nexpert runs on both
platforms and that the knowledge bases are easily transferred from one platform
to another. I would like however to find out abopu tother shells that also do
this.

If knows of, or has used any shells that operate on both of these hardware
platforms I would really appreciate hearing about the shell you have used.

Thank you

How about Intellicorp's Kappa. I'm told that there is a Mac version
that has just come out or is about to come out that is fully compatible
with the PC (Windows 3) version. I've had a close look at Kappa-PC and
have been pretty impressed.

Cheers, Andrew
