[comp.ai.shells] Excuse me for asking but ...

jww502@anu.oz.au (John W White) (04/19/91)

I don't know if this is the right newsgroup to be posting in but it seems
along the lines I thinking (sort of :-)). I'm just trying to start making
a knowledge-based system (I think - I'm a bit new to this AI lingo :-)) And
I think that I should start somewhere else. I'm trying to design (and
hopefully write) a program that will analyse and store (without duplication)
any info that I give it.
I would then like it to analyse a question on a
subject that it has knowledge about and give me an answer based on the type
of question, and the relevance of the info it has. At the moment I'm using
Basic (ha ha ha) on a Mac (no laughs please) and I was just wondering if
there was a PD/SW program that might make life a bit easier.

Any suggestions on how to do it or on when to give up are most welcome too.

Thanks in anticipation,

Dave.
