Summer Job Opportunity M2C, a consortium of the State of Massachusetts, industry and the engineering schools in the state, is looking for the qualified candidate to work on an OCT to HI-LO conversion program. It is intended that this program be be distributed as part of the OCTTOOLS environment, and provide automatic translation between OCT definitions to HI-LO definition, HI-LO simulation and presentation of the simulation results. This program needs to comply with UCB OCT policies. The OCTTOOLS are a public domain VLSI design package developed at UCB which includes an object oriented structure, graphics independence using X and an RPC network invocation mechanism. HI-LO, is a commercial logic simulator, developed and sold by GENRAD which is extensively in use in commercial design systems. Candidates must have experience with the OCTTOOLS and experience with a logic simulator and X. Experience with HI-LO is a plus. Evaluation suggest this project can be completed within the summer break period. Though proximity to our site in Westborough is not necessary it would be viewed favorably.
