I posted an article a few months ago about unmanned radar. The article was in reference to California encouraging the use of radar detectors. The article resulted in a little discussion on existing unmanned radar, but I think I was slightly misunderstood. What I meant was that if all "potential speeders" had radar detectors, police could strategically locate cheap radar frequency transmitters in locations that obeying speed limits is necessary for safety. (for instance, a sharp bend in the highway). The transmitters wouldn't need to process the reflected signal, since they would be there for no other purpose than to trip detectors. The cops would only have to relocate these once in a while to keep people "honest", and could be free to catch bad guys and help old ladies cross the turnpike. Scott
