This is probably a dumb question but... I've built the distribution on a SUN3 running SunOS 4.0. I try to start the server and it get's an error "can't bind socket". Anyone with a quick answer to this problem? Second questions --- do I really have to build kerberos for each new "realm" or can I just modify the files in /etc/krb.*? Cheers, Doug <doug@primerd> <.prime.com>

You can just change krb.conf to change realms. You need to be root to bind the socket. (A, hah, privileged port). Perhaps that's why you're losing? -- Jon

Run "rpcinfo -p" to see if one of the Kerberos ports was
dynamically allocated to an RPC service.
