Has anyone successfully ported Kerberos to a non-Unix environment like MSDOS, or OS/2? If so, is this product public domain, or for sale? Thank you. Doug Bieber

I have a Macintosh (along with a primitive socket library for MacTCP) port. It will be distributed in the same timeframe as V2.0 of Techmail, our Mac pop client, later this fall. (Techmail V2.0 will speak normal POP and Athena Kerberos POP) If you want an early version of the libraries (i.e. now, but with a rough edge or two) send me mail. -- Jon

The latest TCP/IP for OS/2 from IBM contains Kerberos.

The IBM TCP/IP for OS2 Kerberos is only a server, no client applications. The Kerberos that will be in the next version of TCP/IP for VM & MVS has a Kerberos library, also no applications. Scott

non-Unix Kerberos is available on OS/2. IBM produced a product called TCPIP for OS/2. The latest version is 1.0. Version 1.1 goes GA at the end of September.

IBM's TCP/IP for OS/2 and TCP/IP for VM products include Kerberos capabilities. And IBM has issued a "Statement of Intent" to provide Kerberos function in it's TCP/IP for MVS product as well.
