I was hoping someone could help me with a Kerberos problem. I'm installing M.I.T's version of Kerberos on a DECStation 3100. The installation has been completed, the master database has been initialized, I have added my username to the database, and started the kerberos server. After using the using kinit to get a Kerberos TGT, I use klist, and I do have a correct TGT. The problem occurs after I have set up the administration server. I added an administration instance for my username, which worked fine, and I set up the access control lists. Starting up kadmind works fine, but when I try testing kpasswd or kadmin, I get a Kerberos error. When I try running kpasswd, I get the following error: krbsrv> kpasswd old password for username@ORNL.GOV: enter password Kerberos error- Principal unknown (kerberos). and when I try kadmin, I get the following error: krbsrv> kadmin admin: get username Admin password: enter password Principal username.admin@ORNL.GOV does not exist I have also tried using ank and cpw with kadmin. After reading through some material, it seems like Kerberos does not think that I am registered as a Kerberos user. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, you could e-mail them directly to me( mhecht@cs.utk.edu ), or post them to the newsgroup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- Matt Hecht | mhecht@cs.utk.edu (Internet) Dept. of Computer Science | University of Tennessee | summer intern, ORNL, Oak Ridge, TN |
