[comp.sys.laptops] Portability not the only reason

I purchased my T5100 over a year ago as a freshman in college; I had
originally intended to purchase a Dell 325 when I went off to college,
but living in a triple (imagine three guys living in a tiny room the
size of a single car garage) room tempered that argument, so I bought
a portable (due to its small size).  I have since moved into a house,
and I find that my portable is excellent because it offers 386 power
in a small size.  In fact, I almost never move my T5100 (except when
I take it with me on trips back home to NJ).  The moral:  some people
buy portables because they are the ultimate space-saving computers...
