I am *VERY* interested in buying a Toshiba T1000. I need a light,
small, cheap computer mostly for dumb text entry. Battery charge
length most be at least 4 hours and the Toshiba seems to be great for
this.
I need to know three things though:
1) Can the DOS in ROM be upgraded from 2.11?
2) What options do I have for a RAMdisk to keep MicroEmacs, etc... in.
3) Where can I find one for cheap via mail-order?
(i.e. a camera house in New York would be good...)
Also, anyone know of a cheap 1200/2400 baud modem I can throw in this
thing? If I have to lug an external around when needed I will do so.
I *AM NOT* paying the $300 some odd bucks for a 1200 baud modem!
