I don't remember this coming up in the word processor discussion;
forgive me (and e-mail me!) if I missed it.
I'm looking for a small word processor that will do the following;
anything more is a bonus as far as I'm concerned:
- edit reasonably-sized documents (up to about 50 pages of text)
- allow bolding, italic, and bolditalic in a non-Courier font
- run in 512K of memory on a T1000
- drive most printers over parallel
I'll settle for 20 page documents, I'll settle for running in
640K. Performance is not an issue here.
Extra bonuses I'd be real interested in:
- doesn't take up much disk space
- can read MS Word format documents
- can write MS Word format documents
- can drive PostScript printers
- supports at least one proportional font family
Right now I take a Toshiba 3100 on the road with me, and it is so
heavy and bulky! I could make do with my own T1000 (after addition
of backlit screen) if I had something smaller than The Monster
(MS Word) to edit simple text documents with.
Thanks for any info,
