The Tandy WP-2 looks to be a possible low-cost word processor laptop, except for a couple of major flaws that were pointed out in the Feb. 90 Byte (page 176): file transfers are impossible at speeds greater than 1200bps, and characters are dropped if the input is too fast (either over the RS232 port or from the keyboard). So it looks like I can't use this machine to write while on the road, and then dump to my host computer over a 9600 baud line. Can anyone confirm whether the review in Byte is correct?
