[comp.sys.laptops] Word Perfect problems on a Zenith SupersPort

marvil@boulder.colorado.edu (Rebecca Marvil) (06/13/90)

I am using Word Perfect 5.0 on my Zenith laptop, and have
discovered that there is an inverse video problem. For instance,
when I use F5 to retrieve a file, and a list of my files
appears, there is no inverse video bar marking the selected
file. So scrolling down the list with the down arrow key
does not result in any visual change on the screen. Similarly,
I do not get any inverse video marking blocked text. I do know
that inverse video does work on my screen on other occasions,
so it does exist!

Has anyone else seen this problem, or could it be something
wrong with my laptop in particular or something defective
with my Word Perfect executables?

Any comments about this matter would be most appreciated.

Use Shft-F1 (Setup) and go to the display, colors or whatever WP calls it.
Then set the colors in WordPerfect that permit you to see the screen. All
the Zeniths have CGA color built in, so you can set them very easily for
'gray' tones even on a mono monitor or laptop.
