You can use either a 1.2 MB 5.25" drive or a 1.44 MB 3.5" external
drive with the T1000SE/T1000XE.  You cannot use either drive with the
T1000, though I believe you can use an external 720K 3.5" drive,
though.

Hmm.... We have one of the Toshiba external 5 1/4 inch drives for the T1000 
here. It has quite a few parts on a complicated looking interface board.  It
is unlikely that this is a "standard" drive interface.  We tried plugging a 
3 1/2 inch PC type drive (NEC) into the 5 1/4 connectors and it didn't work
at all.  If anyone knows something about the T1000 external drive port, please
post.
