I have a friend in Pittsburg who needs some information on software to use with new their laptop. They have a Tandy 1100 running MS DOS 3.3 with a 3 1/2" disk and a Tandy DMP 107 printer. They do not know much at all about computers. It is used mostly for letters and business applications on trips. The problem that they have is filling out expense reports on their company's NCR forms. Since they must use the furnished no carbon required forms, software which can design forms for a user is of no use. Here is the catch: The forms are not read as 8 1/2 by 11 inch papers, but instead as 11 by 8 1/2 inch forms. (i.e., sideways to normal letterhead.) They have a program called "formfinish" by Powerup which is suppose to put their answers in the proper places on a preprinted form. Is there a program which will take the output of that program and rotate it 90% for printing on the ncr forms? They have heard of one called 'sidewinder' but do not know if that will to the job or where to get it. Any suggestions for a laptop novice? Thanks in advance, Dave dtucker@thor.Wright.EDU
