I would expect the Sharp/TI 4 pounder to be very rare for several months, as it quite outdoes the Compaq LTE and Toshiba 1200 on both weight and screen. Downpoints: the floppy is external, you cant use both the modem and external monitor simultaneously, and survivability is unknown. You might call the instrument suppliers in your town who sell TI products. Educational discounts put it in the same cost class as toshiba and zenith. -- Jordan Pollack Assistant Professor CIS Dept/OSU Laboratory for AI Research 2036 Neil Ave Email: pollack@cis.ohio-state.edu Columbus, OH 43210 Fax/Phone: (614) 292-4890

comuadd appears to be selling the very same laptop under their own label. See this weeks PC magazine for the add. I don't work for them and haven't used the laptop so I only know that I've seen it advertised. Don't ASSUME anything else. -- brad wherry | Ex ignorantia ad sapientiam; wherry@alazif.enet.dec.com | e luce ad tenebras.

Yes, but be warned. Great screen and only 4 pounds makes this baby a strong contender. Unfortunately the keyboard is - in my opinon - not good enough if you are to do any serious writing. Try it out before buying! OK (okh@terje2.uio.no) -- OK (Ola-Kristian Hoff - okh@terje2.uio.no)
