[comp.sys.laptops] MNP-5 Modem & T1000SE & Power Drain

wayne@csri.toronto.edu (Wayne Hayes) (08/22/90)

A few months ago someone said they had found an MNP5 modem to go into their
T1000SE, but that it couldn't be turned off via software, so it would waste
battery power (unless you physically unplugged it). Has anyone solved this
problem? Are there any other MNP5 modems to chose from? If not, I think I
would prefer to use a non MNP5 modem that could be turned off when it's not
in use.

(Hey, wow, howz that for unintentional margin line-ups? :-) )
