Just to mention that, those of use who have computers that run on AA batteries like the Portfolio, can recharge the NiCads with a solar cell recharger (I've seen them at REI co-op). It takes a long time to charge them (a day or two) but it's just the ticket if you are backpacking computer junkie (I wonder how big a segment of the market that is for the Tandy 100, Poquet and Portfolio?).
