[comp.sys.laptops] $25 Network

rreiner@yunexus.YorkU.CA (Richard Reiner) (08/30/90)

I've received mail asking me to post more details and availability
info regarding The $25 Network, which I reccommended highly.

It is produced by

Mr. Jindra is the author of the network software, and has been very
professional and helpful in resolving a problem I had getting his
software to run on a non-standard system.

The network has behaved flawlessly in the 6 months I've had it
installed, allowing sharing of disks and character devices (e.g.
printers) over 115 Kbps serial lines with both machines able to mount
the others' disks and printers, and also a limited remote job
execution facility, plus some other minor services, like clock
synchronization. It can be used in configurations involving more than
2 PCs, but I haven't tried that.
