I am going overseas briefly and I travel periodically. I need to stay in touch with my electronic mail while I'm away. I have been using an old TI Silent 700 portable printing terminal, but I know there must be a better way. What is it? My primary criteria are small size, low price, reliability, and an acoustic coupler modem (I sometimes go places that don't have modular phone jacks). I'd like an 80x24 display, at least 1200 baud, and battery power. I don't really care what other processing power it has beyond terminal emulation. I'd appreciate any advice or recommendations, either by Email or to the net. --David G. Kay, kay@ics.uci.edu --Information & Computer Science, University of California, Irvine
