I'm thinking about purchasing a laptop, but do not really know that much
about them. If anyone could help answer these questions, it would be
greatly appreciated.
1) Dolch P.A.C 386-25c uses the Quadtel version 3.03.03, August 1989 BIOS.
What does BIOS satnd for and what is the best version out?
(Some other BIOS versions I have seen: AMI version DC2T 5006, April 89
AMI BIOS, january 88
AMI version 3.1a, april 89
bla..bla..bla...
2) Should I go MS-DOS 3.3 or 4.01? (ie. what are the main differences between
them?) ..and is there yet another version out on the market?
3) Are there any types of laptops/portables that I should avoid like the
plage? (ie. poorly made, no software, etc..)

I looking for something that plugs in (no need to do work on a plane, or
while stranded in a desert... :-)
