By the way, coating the fuses and exposed wiring terminals in those badly designed Bemmer fuse holder with some grease after you clean the contacts works wonders too. Remember, it's the air / salt / moisture that causes them to corrode in the first place - seal them with something you can get off later (like wheel bearing grease - thick, less messy). The same style fuse and holder is used on the BMW 2002 car and BMW Rxxx/7 series motorcycle. I have fixed the problem by cleaning the fuses with "Soldernu" (a electronics component cleaner), then coating the fuse and holder with CRC brand "Stor-N-Lube" spray (or equivalent). On the car, it is very easy to respray the fuses (say, once in October). This spray also helps stop corrosion on multi-contact connectors (used on headlights, windscreen motor, etc.) Ray Downes ..!seismo!rochester!ritcv!ccieng5!ccieng6!rkd
