I have ordered one of these along with the external 3.5" 1.44Mb floppy
drive. The last that I heard from them (Approx. Oct. 21) they said that they
were going into production in the middle of November, and based on where I
was on the waiting list, I would get mine the first week in December. They
also mentioned that it might be sooner, but they were being conservative so
that people didn't get disappointed again.(They've postponed production three
times already). They have also added an external VGA monitor port that none
of the magazines knew about. Also, there is a great review in an old BYTE
magazine (I forget the issue, sorry, but there's a picture on the cover).
If anyone wants more information, please either call me or post a request
(my college has been disconnected from uunet temporarily, we didn't pay
our bill). When I receive one, I will post my own personal review.

enjoy!!

cedman@lynx.ps.uci.edu (Carl Edman) (11/05/90)

This was the reason I just looked up this newsgroup.

I am considering buying one and would like to know whether anybody had
any experience (pre-production or anything like it) with it. If so,
please mail me or post (if there is enough interest).

BTW, the Byte was July 1990. But you needn't buy it, as Airis sends you
a photocopy of the article and some additional information if you
ask them for it. Their number is: 1-312-384-5608.

Disclaimer: I am in no way connected to Airis but merely a hopefully
statisfied , hopefully customer.
