[comp.sys.laptops] Panasonic CF-170

I just saw an add for one of these in the New York Times (for about $1400),
and it reminds me of the Tandy 1500HD as much as the Panasonic CF-150
reminds me of the Tandy 1100. The ad said the screen is backlit; does
anyone know if an optional internal modem is available for the 170?

Regarding the Tandy 1400HD, I recently saw one of these in the Radio
Shack. But little info was available. Does anyone know if its floppy
is 1.44 meg, and if it's processor is 80286 vs. 8086?

The 1400HD has a 720k floppy and 20 mb hard drive. Its processor is a
NEC V20 running at 8mhz. It has 768k of RAM, the upper 128k of which is usable
as a RAM disk or, with utilities available elsewhere, as a limited expanded RAM
area. Not a bad machine, esp with its excellent screen, but the keyboard is
a bit stiff and it is a little heavy - 12 lbs.
