I'm having some odd telecom problems with my new Tandy 1100FD. All telecom software except Tandy's DeskMate telecom program and the DeskMate version of PC-Link drop characters frequently. This is using several different pieces of software including Telix, Tapcis, pcAnywhere and Qmodem, on several modems including the 1100 internal modem and Practical Peripherals 2400SA, on several different telephone lines. I'm contacting everything from my local Unix system to CompuServe to local BBSs. Qmodem indicates that I'm having buffer overruns. I even get bad data when examining my modem configuration using the at&v command! Anyone have any hints on this problem, especially why everything has the same problem except DeskMate software? Incidentally, on this machine DOS 3.3 and the DeskMate kernal are built into ROM.
