I'm looking at this PC Magazine ad for the Dataworld LP-320, and saying, "This looks too good to be true!" Is it? It's a 20 MHz 386DX battery-powered laptop with 1MB (upgradeable to 8MB) of RAM, SVGA (though the LCD screen only goes to 640X480) with external monitor, keyboard, numeric keypad, tape drive and floppy ports, built in 1.44 floppy and 43 MB HD (upgradeable to 200 MB) -- for $2,650 in its standard configuration! I have a brother-in-law who just ordered one, and have not yet received his feedback, but I just wondered if anyone else out there is using this beast. I figure with 4MB of RAM and a 100MB HD, (total so configured -- $3040) it would make a helluva nice portable Windows machine. So what's wrong with it? -- -----------------------------------------------------| hombre!marob!upaya!tbetz "Ever since the fateful day when Al heard about | that `Follow Your Bliss' thing, it's been just | Tom Betz - GBS cannoli, cannoli, and more cannoli." - Peter Hannah | (914) 375-1510
