[comp.sys.laptops] MKS Toolkit on DOS: KSH question...

taylor@limbo.Intuitive.Com (Dave Taylor) (12/07/90)

I've recently installed the MKS toolkit on my laptop computer, on top
of MSDOS 3.3, and while it's really a great package, I find one thing
incredibly annoying about the Korn shell that they include; it insists
on leaving a file "sh_histo" (sh_history, presumably) in just about
every directory you go into.

I've tried setting history=0 but it STILL leaves the damn thing! The
documentation doesn't mention the file at all, as far as I can see. If
someone can suggest a way to teach Ksh not to leave the file, or to
name it ".hst" or some other name I don't have to SEE, that'd be great!

			Thanks!!
