Does anybody know the maximum RAM capacity of the T1000SE when using its expansion RAM slot? What is the cost (approx.) of the T1000SE memory cards? Are there any third party dealers for compatible cards? Thanks, Hugh ******************************************************************************* ** Hugh L. Currently, you can find third-party RAM cards at discount for around $299 if you look hard enough...I bought mine for $399 several months ago. There are a few third party dealers for compatible cards; mine is from a company called Apricorn and has always worked flawlessly. I have heard rumors here in the past that the T1000SE motherboard apparently has sockets for another 1 MB of RAM internally. I'd really like to hear from someone who has tried to install extra internal memory, and whether or not they succeeded. m. -- __ \/ Michael Portuesi Silicon Graphics, Inc. portuesi@sgi.com "It is amazing how a weekend at a hotel or motel--or even a camping weekend without the children--can make a wife feel like a mistress and a husband treat her that way." --Nina Fischer, "How to Help Your Husband Get Ahead" part of the Amy Vanderbilt Success Program for Women

Given that you probably want 640Kb for DOS, then 2.4Mb is left over, which I generally turn completely into non-volatile RAMdisk (HARDRAM), as the D: drive. Yes, there are third party vendors of 2MB cards for the T1000SE. The cheapest I've seen to date is around $350. Look in the back of Computer Shopper or PC Mag. I got mine from Hard Drives International, for $380, which was the cheapest price 8 months ago. Cheers, Dan Ts'o 212-570-7671 Dept.
