[comp.sys.laptops] Toshiba-to-IBM bus converter

There's a device called a Won-under available for several brands of
laptops. It attaches to the bottom and provides an IBM-compatible
expansion slot.

Another possibility would be to look into third party Toshiba
add-ons by companies like Megahertz. They might make a fax-modem
card for the older Toshibas.

Finally, consider using an email service that can send text faxes.
CompuServe, MCI Mail, and others offer this service.

"Is there something that plugs into the T1200 expansion slot
and comes out with a standard IBM motherboard slot?"

It's in Toshiba's catalog of accessories. You can get details from
"Toshiba Accessories Direct", (800) 999-4823. (But don't buy it from
them -- they charge list price. Find a dealer.)
