This is the same configuration as the new Toshiba 1000LE which sells
here in the USA for $1649US.

The SE is now $850US. One piece of advice when chosing a laptop. The
quality of the LCD display varies enormously between various makes
and sometimes between models in a maker's lineup. I have found the
displays on many laptops to be unusable. The best display (and it's
a very good display even by desktop standards) is the side lit
fluorescent display on the new Toshiba 1000LE and 1200XE.

I have a laptop with similar specs (8088 chip, (well, v20 actually,
but same thing, v20 is a tad faster), 20 mb hd, 720K drive, cga)
It's a Tandy 1400-HD, for $999. Very happy with it. -turgut
