I have a couple of questions regarding the VGA display on the T3100SX:
1) I know it is possible to drive an external monitor at 640x480 pels at
16 colors. Is it possible to add video RAM to the adapter and expand
that ability to 640x480 pels at 256 colors? If not, are there any
other options I might pursue to this end? My aim is to use this
machine as a high-end portable demonstration unit.
2) Some programs look better than others with the default color settings.
Has anyone out there played with the VCHAD utility enough to find some
better settings for different sorts of programs? I've already figured
out the settings for the "base" set of software (e.g. Windows, ProComm,
etc.), but, since it is a "pool" laptop and people may install their
own software to run while it's in their custody, it would be nice to
offer a small list of popular software packages and corresponding VCHAD
settings.
