I tried to post this a couple of days ago, but it must have been lost in the ether... Anyway, I was browsing through Sam's Wholesale Club (a wholesale warehouse operated by the Wal-mart folks) and saw a Leading Edge laptop with the following specs (as near as I can remember): model DLT386SX cpu 386SX 1 MB RAM, expandable to 2MB 20 or 40 MB hd one 3.5 fd, with jack for an external 5.25 fd lcd screen (don't remember if backlit) 640x400 resolution external jack for VGA monitor (does this mean the LCD screen is VGA, too?) removable keyboard (I know, not essential) no separate numeric keypad (I could learn to live without one) expansion slots: I don't remember how many $1299 (or was it $1399?) Anyway, it sounds like a pretty good deal on what looks to be a fairly sturdy machine. Has anyone bought/used one? Any recommendations pro or con. Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
