[comp.sys.laptops] Any UltraLight Users Out There?

boebert@sctc.com (Earl Boebert) (03/03/91)

DAK is offering NEC UltraLights for $700; $900 with the 2 Meg Ramdisk.
I was interested in this machine when it first came out but put off by
the price. Now I'm interested again, so ...

How does the display compare to the Toshiba T1000SE?

How long do the batteries last?

How exactly does the Ramdisk work? Do you lose contents if you lose power?

Any other comments welcome. I am looking at this machine as a lightweight
travelling companion running Procomm 2.0 and Epsilon; I currently use
a T1000SE which is very nice to use but a little on the heavy side when
hauled around with the AC adapter and a spare battery.
