I have the same problem with my DG/1, which also has 2.11 standard. I discovered the problem when I also got an AT and a PC-Convertible, which use 3.2 and 3.3. Not so e Not so easy just to boot up the DG/1 on 3.2 or 3.3, because it's BIOS (not 100% IBM compatible in the original DG/1) won't read 3.2/3/3 disks. The solution is to format all your 3.5 disks in the DOS 2.11 standard. At least 3.2 and 3.3 will read these properly, and perhaps later DOS version will read them as well, although I haven't tried them. I simply replaced the DOS FORMAT routine in my AT and PC-Convertible with the FORMAT routine that came with DOS 2.11. Sorry about the ' in it's. Rather stupid. Jeff
