[comp.sys.laptops] A Request for Info on the TI Travelmate 3000

wpkege@snll-arpagw.UUCP (kegelmeyer william p) (03/08/91)

Hello ---

I've been thinking about the TI Travelmate 3000, their new 386SX laptop;
5.7 pounds with internal battery and diskette drive. It was too recent for
the February "Byte" and March "PC Magazine" laptop reviews.

My particular questions are:

1) Does anyone know the size and weight of the adaptor?

2) Does anyone know the size and weight of spare batteries?

3) Does anyone know of a printed review in any magazine?

4) Does anyone who's handled one have an opinion? In particular, the TI
Travelmate 2000 seemed rather flimsy; is that the case with the 3000?

5) Does anyone know of any other 386 machines with hard and diskette drive
that weigh less than six pounds with battery included?

Any comments would be welcome. Please mail them to the address below (most
mailers will create the wrong return address with their "reply" functions),
and I'll summarize for the net.

My thanks in advance for all replies.
