With so many new 386sx laptops on the market, it's very difficult to
make decision. Here is the list of laptop that's available on the
U.S. market which are within reach of majority of people( counting
out the ultra expensive compaq and TI/Sharp):
Zeos/Sanyo/Ogivar 16sx
TwinHead 20sx
Standard 20sx
AST 20sx
Everex Tempo
ALR Ventura
I have seen the ALE Ventura at local store which has a low contrast
and small screen. Here are questions concerning the laptops
1. How does the LCD screen of the laptops listed above compare
to Ti Travelmate 2000?(which I considered as rather low
contrast compare to the ultimate T1000LE screen)
2. Is Everex Tempo manufactured by Sanyo also?
3. Which screens are active matrix LCD (no blurring during
scrolling).
4. How is the keyboard for AST?
5. Is Airis coming out with its 386sx laptop? Any info on that?
6. Is there any new affordable notebook out there I am not aware
of (exclude the troublesome and high-priced Librex).
Any inputs will be appreciated. Please post your reponse if
convenient.
