[comp.sys.laptops] Ridiculous RAM prices

"The 768K card for my T1000 now costs $250 (list $600). If you
think these are high prices, a *128K* RAM card for an HP48s
	handheld computer is $320!."

I can top that -- Toshiba's list price for 4M RAM for the T3100SX is $2995!
Fortunately you can get it on the aftermarket for $325.

As the owner of a NEC Powermate 386/20, I can empathize. Their
memory upgrade path reeks of small-minded greed. Limited, expensive,
proprietary options. Oh, did I mention this is likely the last NEC product
I will buy?
