[] "The 768K card for my T1000 now costs $250 (list $600). If you think these are high prices, a *128K* RAM card for an HP48s handheld computer is $320!." I can top that -- Toshiba's list price for 4M RAM for the T3100SX is $2995! Fortunately you can get it on the aftermarket for $325. -=- Andrew Klossner (uunet!tektronix!frip.WV.TEK!andrew) [UUCP] (andrew%frip.wv.tek.com@relay.cs.net) [ARPA]

As the owner of a NEC Powermate 386/20, I can empathize. Their memory upgrade path reeks of small-minded greed. Limited, expensive, proprietary options. Oh, did I mention this is likely the last NEC product I will buy? ----------- uunet!media!ka3ovk!raysnec!shwake shwake@rsxtech
