I had almost settled on getting a Toshiba LE when I came across an ad for the Reeves HyperBook 1000, an 8088 machine with high density floppy and 20 Meg hard drive. It looks very different to most notebook PCs - it's a bit like a grown up z88 (the machine I currently use) with a flap which covers the screen and a proper keyboard. And the price in the UK is 699 pounds (plus VAT), well below the Toshiba. I would be fascinated to hear any comments on this machine - either from people who've tried it, or who've read reviews of it.
