Does anyone know where an extended/expanded memory board can be obtained for a Toshiba T-3100 other than from Toshiba. Toshiba's board is incredibly expensive. Many vendors sell such boards for virtually every other Toshiba laptop at an approximate price of $200.00 for 2 megs. I have called every one of the vendors whom I have seen offering such boards for Toshibas and they all say that this board can only be had from Toshiba. Does anyone know why they are so readily available for other machines and not for the T-3100?

You can get a 2 meg expansion board for either the T-3100E or the T-3100SX from Tenex (800) 776-6781 for $189.95. Is that what you're looking for? I ran into the same trouble looking for memory for my Zenith once and found that aftermarket memory is MUCH more reasonable. -- Jack Wiggins NSTAR conferencing site 219-289-0287 internet: jackw@nstar.rn.com 1300 newsgroups - 8 inbound lines uucp: ..!uunet!nstar.rn.com!jackw 99 file areas - 4300 megabytes --- backbone news & mail feeds available - contact larry@nstar.rn.com ---

"Does anyone know where an extended/expanded memory board can be obtained for a Toshiba T-3100 other than from Toshiba." I ordered two Kingston 4-MB expansion boards for my T3100SX at $425 apiece. Sigma Data, (800) 446-4525. I have no idea whether 3100SX boards can be used in a 3100 (no SX). -=- Andrew Klossner (uunet!tektronix!frip.WV.TEK!andrew) [UUCP] (andrew%frip.wv.tek.com@relay.cs.net) [ARPA]
