[comp.sys.laptops] T1000SE memory

A few quick questions.....
1: Can a T1000SE use the 9MB ram card?
2: If so can all 9MB be used as RAMdisk?
3: Has anyone actually tried this?
4: For those w/ any size expansion card, is the RAMdisk reliable enough
   to use as a
    RAM hard drive?

The reason I ask is that I am considering RAM expansion to use as a RAMdisk
for some of my applications. It is expensive I know, as it is not stackable
so if I get a card it is going to be at least 2MB, espically if I can use
more.

Thanks for all help in advance!

I too am interested in using one of the 8M RAM cards to up my "disk" to
9M. I have been using my T1000SE with a 1M RAM card to run a 1.3M RAM disk
for about 6 months. This has worked flawlessly. I load the minimum suite
of files for Microsoft Works, a few UNIX utilities and the core data files
(phone list, calander file, to do list) all onto my RAM disk. Working this
way gives me excellent speed and prolongs the battery life (no need to access
the power hungry floppy drive). I always dump any serious changes to the floppy
at the end of a session - but as reliable as the RAM disk setup has been
there is no real need. Only problem I ever have is letting the battery go
dead if I go several days without using the system.
