I own a 1982 Olds Cutlass Cierra which my wife drives. SHe has complained on a number of occsions about the tendency of the car to fish tail when braking. This occurs usually on wet or slippery streets. I have tried a couple panic stops with the car but could not get it to occur, however I did go thru a fish-tail on stop one day at a traffic light(just after a light shower). We have taken it back to the dealer a couple of times and they did some brake pad cleanup and dust blowout tricks but the problem seems to persist. It is to the point now that my wife is almost afraid to drive the car. Is there anyone out there in net land who has had similar problems with the Cierra. Recent radio and tv news stories indicate that GM had problems with the X line cars in the '80 year production. Maybe this is some more of the same.
