[net.auto] "82 Z28 Cross-fire trouble

I don't know how the GM Cross-Fire system is set up, but one way to beat the
black box, without tampering with it, is to fool its inputs. I had a lean
running problem with my 1976 280Z (Bosch L Jetronic Injection) which was
corrected by adding resistance in the circuit which was connected to the
water temperature sensor. Finding the correct resistance is a chore, and what
worked great in the summer may be lousy in the winter. I used a variable
resistor wired into the passenger compartment and just dialed in the right
amount of "cold" to the sensor. Of course a modification like this is for
off-road use only :-)
