[net.auto] SLICK 50

I used SLICK 50 when it was called TEFCOTE;
I've been assured by the dealer I bought it from that it is still the same
product with just a name change.
I used the product in a 1977 Buick Skylark, 301 c.i. V-8 at around the 10,000
mi. mark.
The car seemed unchanged for the next 200 (approx.) miles, after which the
mileage noticeably improved and the amount of power seemed greatly improved;
gas mileage went up ~2 mpg, avg. and acceleration was definitely quicker.
The thing that impressed me the most was that after 100,000 mi. the car
ran very reliably, used very little oil and required very little maintenance.

I disagree with the idea that only one treatment is required;
one per 50,000 miles is a better idea -- as durable as the teflon coating
may be it is bound to wear down and require retreatment.
