[net.auto] Need information on driveline loops

philw@tekcae.UUCP (11/18/83)

  I want to put a driveline loop on a B-body 1970 Mopar
car, which is similar to 68 through 70 B-body Mopars.
Mopar means Chrysler, Dodge or Plymouth (Chrysler corp.).
The B-bodies include Charger (mine), Coronet, Satellite,
GTX. If anyone has put a driveline loop on one of these
big old dinosaurs, please mail me information about how
you did it. Thanks very much.

To forestall net postings from those who haven't
installed a driveline loop, and don't know what it is:
A driveline loop attaches to a car's frame or body and
completely surrounds the front end of the driveline.
If the front universal joint breaks, the loop holds the
driveline so it doesn't hit the ground. Were the driveline
to hit the ground the car would probably flip.
