A previously well-behaved uport-386 (3.0e) system, after I
spent a session updating uucp Systems and Permissions files,
won't let me delete mail. Upon exiting I get
mail: Cannot open savefile
I've checked permissions and compared with a system that works ok.
/tmp and /usr/tmp are 777, and /usr/mail... is as it should be.
df shows lots of space available, and fsck finds no trouble.
Where to look next???
