[comp.unix.i386] Nameserver and rcp,rsh

jml@tw-rnd.SanDiego.NCR.COM (Michael Lodman) (10/12/89)

When I have a nameserver started on my 386ix system, no other system
can rcp, rsh into it, regardless of the state of my hosts.equiv file.

When I go back to using the local hosts file on the 386ix system, I
can again rcp, rsh into it from other systems.

What is going on here? Do I have something set up wrong, or is this
inherent when I run and use named?

Thanks!
