[net.auto] Buy It in Europe!

dcn@ihuxl.UUCP (Dave Newkirk) (12/12/83)

At the last Chicago Car Show I asked Saab salesman about buying a
car in Europe. He gave me a pamphlet describing the whole process
in detail. He also said the other European manufacturers have similar
programs. Basically, you buy an American model in Europe, drive it
around as much (or as little) as you like, then drop it off in a port
to be shipped to the USA. The money saved is proportional to the
cost of the car. A car costing $15K and up will be discounted enough
to pay for your transportation costs plus some expenses. For more
information, drop by the dealer of your choice and ask!
